Welcome

Earlier this year, Pete Stauber sponsored a resolution opening the Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA) to sulfide ore mining.  In response, we launched a fundraising effort to get a BWCA protector into Minnesota's 8th Congressional District. That protector is Trina Swanson. Help us stand up for the places we love!

The Sellout and the Protector

Pete Stauber represents Minnesota's 8th Congressional District, home to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCA).

Earlier this year, Representative Stauber sponsored a resolution that opened the BWCA watershed to sulfide ore mining by

Chilean mining company Antofagasta.

Trina Swanson is running against Pete Stauber in November. She is adamantly against sulfide ore mining in the BWCA watershed and will fight to protect Minnesota's most pristine natural treasure.

Whether you've paddled the BWCA, have it on your bucket list, or simply know that protecting it matters, please join us in standing up for it.

Our mission is to help elect Trina Swanson, a BWCA protector, to Minnesota's 8th Congressional District.  We believe Pete Stauber should be held accountable for selling out one of the most pristine natural wildernesses in our country.

We are Minnesotans who believe our natural treasures need protection. We know that more than ever, people are standing up for the places and people we love. We can't vote in D8 but are ready to fight for the BWCA.

Contributions go directly to Trina Swanson. With foreign investors and big mining backing Stauber, she needs support from people like us.
